On Fear and Passion
Starting a new company is not the best of ideas. If someone asked me if they should start their own company I would advise against it. I’ve also told a lot of people not to buy a motorcycle. These things are dangerous. You can get in a lot of trouble: physically, financially, emotionally. There are huge predators out there that are ready to eat you for lunch. Logically, you don’t stand a chance.
But it also happens to be one of the greatest goals a person could hope to fight for in their lives. It’s part of the american dream. It forces us to face our fears and run into the darkness with as much courage as we can manage. I believe that the more you’re afraid of something, it’s all the more reason you should do it. We have no choice but to fight.
But we’ve learned what we have inside us is never enough. We look ahead and see that we don’t total up to the person it takes to solve the problem. We alone can not make this company successful. We’ve had huge amounts of support along the way: namely Trung Nguyen, Sharon Kemp, and Derek Lee-ew with their financial and moral support. We definately have not and will not make it without help from all of you guys.
This company has changed us. It has become us and we have become it. It’s shown us who we are and has placed purpose in our lives. It’s allowed us to live our lives and fill a role that only we could fill. We’ve faced our fears and have woken up the passion within ourselves. And even though we still have no idea what we’re doing, we’re able to move foward and have faith.
